Hope for any mom

When I was growing up, I didn't think much of my siblings. I fought with my sisters (and threatened to call the cops if they didn't behave while I was babysitting--cursed be the day that Rachel called my bluff!) and wiped my brothers' bums a lot (and flushed the toilet for Tom--hmmm, maybe I better just leave it at that).

But, today, they are some of my best friends. I don't go a week without talking to each one of them. They're each incredibly insightful, and I'm sure I'm not at all biased because we share the same DNA.

I thought I'd include this second photo because it looks like one of those cute staged shots that some families do. This one isn't--we were really all looking that off.

Growing up, when we would fight, my mom would always tell us to love one another, because we were going to be each other's best friend. We'd say, "uh, huh... whatever" :)
But it's true!
Very cute pictures! My mom can't believe he's getting married. She remembers having him in nursery!

What cute pictures.
I hope that I'm close to my siblings when they grow up. I guess some of them are now. . .
Em, we missed you a ton at the retreat. You would have loved it. I'm sure you already know how much you're like Jana and Caroline, but I didn't know it until I met them.
We're all going to plan a SoCal retreat together, so you can be in on the initial year.
Our plan is to have eating, talking, a little singing, and yoga. :)
Let's get together soon, I have a little surprise for you.

I think I needed to see this post today...... it's the first day of summer vacation and I'm already asking myself, "how many days until school starts?"
I hope my boys will eventually enjoy one another's company. Or, rather, enjoy talking with one another instead of wrestling all day long.

Great pictures! We saw Tom recently and he's just all grown up; I still think of him as about a 6-yr-old.

I still have a hard time thinking of Dave getting MARRIED and Tom going on a MISSION and Rachel having her second BABY. I'm pretty sure your siblings were supposed to stay much younger. OH well. I love seeing everyone all grown up. I love that you guys had pictures taken. I love my grown-up siblings too.

You are so cute and tan! What was the occasion? Is that the Mesa Temple? You do have fun siblings. I can attest to that. Does Thomas still watch Lost?

Adriana, Kate, and Sara--I know! I can't believe Dave and Tom grew up. Sigh...

Jess, I'm totally bummed, too. Nate soooo owes me (well, I guess actually his clients sooo owe me).

Alli, I don't know what I'd do with 5 boys at home; I can barely keep up with 2 (and 1 is in preschool 2 days a week!)

Heather, it is the Mesa temple--we just needed a good location, and it's a special temple to my mom (we did the pic for Mother's day).

Tom and Rachel watch LOST. I'm mad at LOST though--I got tired of them never resolving anything to my satisfaction.

SLP, can't wait for the Boston retreat!

I remember you all getting along like angels...maybe a little sassy to each other. Were you all on best behavior when you would visit us in Utah?
