Hello, little mouse, what are you doing? Oh...I see! Are you going to pick that red, ripe strawberry?
But, little mouse, haven't you heard about the Big Hungry Bear?
Oooh, how that Bear loves red, ripe strawberries!
The Big Hungry Bear can smell a red, ripe strawberry a mile away...
especially one that has just been picked!
We just harvested our one and only strawberry this weekend. We cut it four and all got a bite. It was delicious :)

We're not having gardening adventures any time soon. Thanks for a glimpse of yours!
Wow that is an impressive garden - it gives me garden envy. *sigh* Someday.
I've always loved that book.
When I was in 3rd grade we did a book report book float and I did a paper mache strawberry for the float. It was really fun. It's also one of my kids' favorite books.
Your garden is awesome, and I love how excited Asher is to have that strawberry ;)
Gardening posts in February make me wistful. That strawberry looks excellent. Glad you're enjoying a nice harvest!
I love strawberries! You better get a security system for that little garden of yours.
Okay, that is the CUTEST post! That's one of our favorite books. :-)
Enjoy your strawberry. LOL!
So great, Asher was sure very careful with that delicious strawberry. He is such a cutie!
I want to have a garden this year ... i second the garden envy. Love homegrown tomatoes!!!
Seriously, that is Theo's FAVORITE book/story but I liked your 'real life' version better :)
