My mom took me to this cute little French pastry shop last week. Luke and I split a delightful goat cheese and spinach omelette, but I was very tempted by the grilled brie sandwich. All the entrees come with a tasty spring mix side salad and delicious house dressing, like a sweet (but not too sweet) balsamic vinegrette.
It also has the prettiest desserts I've ever seen. The fruit desserts looked so good, I almost went for one (lemon tart, rasberry/lychee glass, perhaps?). But, then, I came to my senses and ordered a lovely dark chocolate tart.
That trip made me want to be a pastry chef.
Oh wait, I forgot--I'm a horrible baker.

mmm! looks delish!
That sounds delicious. And, you had fun with your kids. Double bonus!
I'm glad you have a post about why you like Arizona. Sometimes the heat makes me forget.
Their website is so simple and fun. Makes me really want to try it out.
Okay... actually I meant that your post really makes me want to try out this place. But I do think the website is clever.
I think Pheonix is so posh. Pheonix: Whole lotta beach...no ocean. I am so happy you have a place that tickles your palate. I think you should try their crepes next(I am too lazy to paste the accent on top of the e).
I can never so no to pastries - why is that? I am impressed with your control...
I love a good pastry shop! We have a pretty darn good one here, too, but I almost go broke everytime I go in. It was $17 for 3 fruit tarts last time (they were sooooooo worth it, though.)
BTW, yesterday I made your homemade peach pie. I found perfect peaches at the store. That pie is To. Die. For. SERIOUSLY! Unfortunately, Warren hates peaches, so I had to eat more than my fair share. Warren just came in, looked at my fork poised above the pie plate and said, "did you lick the plate??" It was THAT good!
